Welcome to selib's site!

Still figuring stuff out on here...

I'm a big music nerd for music & video games.

I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, but I have a big appreciation for atmospheric indie rock, textured drones, off-kilter pop, driving rhythms and any random combination of these adjectives and genres. I play in a band called 'Sounds of the Slaughterhouse' (SOTS). I can't really play any instruments, but I don't want this minor setback to stop me from releasing my shitty live synthesiter jams into the endless ether of bandcamp.

When it comes to video games, I'm a fan of what the people on the Insert Credit Podcast or Youtubers such as ThorHighHeels refer to us as "games you can hang out in. Games that build up a compelling world, feature unique aesthetics and tell stories that wouldn't be possible to tell through other mediums are what grab me the most.

Hopefully in the future you will be able to find my musings on there topics and more on this website.

2022 Retrospective on the history of Sounds of the Slaughterhouse.

Here is the list of blogs entries describing what would I call 'the most formative moments of my life' (none of these actually exist yet):

Blog 1: Spending 2017's New Year's Eve in a cabin in Norway with my friends

Blog 2: Going a music festival for the first time in 2015

Blog 3: Hosting a trashy concert night in 2022

Events

I've been involved in hosting some concerts and club nights in the past before. The link below leads to a page documenting each one, with some behind the scenes infos.

In addition to my own retrospective on events, I am working on an archive of Viennese rave & club flyers in the 2020s.
